Easy to apply
Once your surface has been adequately prepared ready for coating, mix the two component oil thoroughly. Apply oil to intricate areas thin and even with a suitable sized brush, for bigger areas tighten and use a lint-free cloth, buffing the oil into the timber in circular motions until you can see the oil saturating into the timber. Allow to dwell and begin buffing the excess with a suitable oil cloth. For a full breakdown of how to sand and oil your kitchen worktops - see our HOW TO guide. |
Easy to maintain
Oiled wood surfaces are a bit like your skin or hair - once they begin to look a little 'dry' or 'worn', clean the surface, allow to dry and apply a fresh coat... re-nourish them. In some instances, it is beneficial to give the surface a light key back to help aid adhesion between coats. Follow the steps in our how to guide for maintenance oiling of kitchen worktops. |
